A blast of heat soon turns a radiator into an exploded diagram.

After cleaning, any dents are removed from the header tank.

The top and bottom tanks are fitted to the new core. A first run of solder secures the bond, a second completes the job and provides a smooth finish.

An XK header tank in brass, just off the forming block.
