CLASSIC SPARES LTD - Racing!
The Classic Spares Timeline:
- 1981 - Classic Spares Enfield born - specialising in Jaguars, MG's & British Motorbikes
- 1984 - The JEC is formed - We join amongst the first 100 members
- 1985 - JEC Essex Thameside region launched with support from Classic Spares
- 1991 - Classic Spares becomes Limited company - moves to our curent premises - now wholly Jaguar but 'CSL Factors' launched to service trade and other makes
- We pioneer the '2 for the price of 3' offer - unsuccessfully
- 1994 - Advanced technology allows us to become your local specialist - only 10 minutes away from anywhere 10 minutes away
- 1996 - Web site commissioned via 'JagWeb' along with other forward thinking companies such as 'AJ6 Engineering' we were amongst the first Jaguar Specialists 'on the web' (405 line black and white in those days)
- 1997 - Double VAT day introduced - unsuccessfully
- 1998 - Classic Spares starts the 'XJS Challenge' racing series
- 1999 - JEC Racing launched - with assistance from Classic Spares Ltd
- 2000 - XJS Challenge becomes JEC Race Series - co-sponsored by Classic Spares and Jaguar World magazine
- 2001 - Performance parts range introduced. Revolutionary 'yesterday delivery service' ofered unsuccessfully due to timewarp systems failure
- 2002 - Barter payments system introduced - withdrawn due to storage problems with sheep, goats & vegetables etc.
- 2007 - Classic Spares dragged into the 21st centure when we're finally updating our classic website!
