HYPER TRANSFORMATIONS
Mk3 Hyper Engineering are the experts in optical and performance tuning for Jaguar cars. Their three best known distinctive body styling packages are evolutions of the classic XJS grand tourer, enhancing its appearance and aerodynamics with front and rear spoilers and side skirts. The Mark 1 version has spoilers fitting under the bumpers and like the Mark 2 which has over-bumper spoilers, can be supplied for self-assembly of professionally engineered.

The Mark 3 wide-body conversion is the exception that requires skilled workshop engineering. The Mk2 transformation adds four inches to the rear width and three inches to the front, allowing 11 inch and 8 inch rim wheels.

A further modification is to the rear side windows which extend 5 1/2 inches to improve visibility and impart an even leaner lower looking profile.

Interior Underlying the head turning styling are mechanical modifications that radically enhance the cars handling and performance. These address transmission and exhaust emissions to increase horsepower without the need of engine modifications. The exclusive Hyperdrive gearbox gives the driver manual change of three gears without using a clutch, and through torque improvements delivers more power to the road. The Hyper handcrafted stainless steel exhaust and manifold system releases in excess of 50 more bhp. Suspension, steering and brakes are uprated to match.

The spoilers incorporate specific functional features. Air intakes in the front can house fog and spot lamps and behind them the flow is channeled onto the brakes for extra cooling and if required over a secondary oil cooling unit for the gearbox. The rear spoiler has modules for the statutory rear fog lights required for driving on British roads, Moldings are made from high-quality impact-resistant fibre-glass and bumper cavities are filled with expanding polyurethane foam for increased rigidity. Then blend into the cars styling with no break of visual continuity.

Mk3 Front and rear wing extensions for the wide bodied version are engineered in steel.

Interiors can also be upgraded with body contoured seats in leather or a choice of fabrics, sports steering wheels and other trim choices. A variety of wide rimmed wheels - including a Hyper designed split-rim special - with low profile tyres round off the performance and the styling.

Similar tranformations can be applied to all other Jaguar XJ models.
