1997 CLUB MODEL - 4.0L XJR Saloon
The Jaguar Model Club yearly models started with this 4.0
litre Supercharged XJR Saloon, the kit chosen to build the
models was a 1:43rd scale Resin kit by Provence Moulage of
France. The models were sprayed with genuine Jaguar Ice Blue
metallic paint and the interiors were painted in Nimbus Grey
to match a real XJR Jaguar colour combination. Each of the
50 models carried the registration plate : JMC 1 and could
be ordered in right or left hand drive, with Provence
Moulage casting the right hand drive dashboards especially
for the JMC with their standard kit only being available in
left hand drive. Thirty one models were built in right hand
drive, with nineteen in left hand drive, one member
requested the registration plate : 5 TRR and one member
requested model No.39 be sprayed in dark metallic Blue.
