A History of the West Sussex Region JEC

The JAGUAR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB was formed in December 1984. Today, the club is one of the most active one-marque clubs in Britain and has over 17,000 members, indeed it is the largest club for Jaguars.

Benefits on offer to members include free technical advice, a wide range of books and accessories, a club insurance scheme and special tools. The 80 - 88 page monthly club magazine Jaguar Enthusiast was voted Best Club Magazine of the Year by Classic Cars for 1992 and 1994 and won the Best Magazine Editor in 1996. In addition, it boasts 30 pages in full colour and the largest classified advertising section of any Jaguar publication. It is packed with practical help and advice, technical articles and the latest news about Jaguar too. The club was awarded the prestigious Best Club of the Year Award in 1993. The club has over 60 Regions to enable all members to take part in Club activities and swap experiences with like-minded Jaguar Enthusiasts.

The WEST SUSSEX REGION of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club has over 300 members and is one of the most active regions of the club. Details of forthcoming Regional activities can be found in the "Regional News" supplement to "Jaguar Enthusiast" magazine, as well as on this web site.

Club Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month at Tottington Manor (off the A2037 on the road to Edburton - see map), starting at 8.OOpm. Usually, between 30 - 40 members attend a club night, where the emphasis is very much on enjoying and using the cars. New members along with partners are always welcome to come along. In addition to the monthly meetings throughout the year between May and September, an extensive range of events is on offer for West Sussex Region members to take their Jaguars (and Daimlers) to.

We are always looking for new and interesting events for the club to take part in. What classic car event is complete without a selection of Jaguars?

For further information about the club, our programme of events or if you would like the Region to arrange a display for your event, please contact the West Sussex JEC Webmaster.
